I was on a coaching call not long ago with a business owner who works with very large corporations all across the world.

A few years ago, I worked with her to create a media platform.

A simple email newsletter sent weekly to her subscribers.

Unlike many of the people I talk with about this idea (I sound like a broken record because I suggest it to everyone who resonates with the thought of creating success by providing deep and meaningful service to the world), she actually did it.

  • Even when it looked like it wasn’t “working,” she continued doing it.
  • Even when she didn’t feel like writing, out went the newsletter.
  • Even when no business was coming from it, she kept going.

During this time, we also worked on releasing her writing from the “perfect” corporate-speak style of communication and restored it to a more accurate demonstration of who she is and what she stands for.

As it turns out, “sticking out” isn’t usually the issue in business. Given the conditioning we’ve all received, being yourself is the real challenge. When you are able to do that fully and communicate it well, you will naturally “stick out.”

Fast forward to today, she is working hard to keep up with the snowball effect this dedication to service via a media platform creates.

As Corporate America is experiencing round after round of layoffs, those very same companies are increasing their investment in what she provides.

This is not “supposed” to happen, but it is happening.

With the media platform, she has effectively implemented a way to scale up demand for what she offers and is now faced with the not-so-terrible problem of figuring out how to help everyone who wants to work with her organization.

While you might think this is a strategy geared for the world of small business ONLY, she is now working with one of the largest corporations in the world as a result of the “magic” created by her efforts with the media platform.

It is amazing, but not surprising. Because serving the world in meaningful ways creates magical things.

Experiencing the Magic of a Media Platform

Countless business owners work hard to develop the skills required to “sell” what they’ve got. Many of them hate it, many of them aren’t very good at it. But they consider it a “cost of doing business” if they truly want to succeed.

Surely an email newsletter or a podcast or some other publication created for your prospective clients and customers isn’t capable of producing the results of “selling” without having to assume the position of salesman.

  • Some businesses require all that plus a repositioning of how they are perceived by those they want to serve.

Media Platform Mastery is an advanced four-week training where we will walk through a process for upgrading the performance of your media platform.

Each week, we will focus on ONE of the primary performance levers and make the necessary changes in each to better present your business, what you have to offer and generate the natural attraction required to transform a prospect into a buyer.

These “levers” include your positioning in the marketplace, the power of your content (tone, style, topic choices), how you generate leads to grow the subscriber base of your platform, and the various strategies you have for transforming prospects into paying clients and customers.

There will be four content sessions presented in a group format along with customized advice and feedback based on the “homework” you’ll be doing each week.

Following the four-week training, our work together will end with a Private 30 Minute Phone Consultation.

All of the group content sessions WILL be recorded but you are encouraged to attend live for Q&A and to participate in discussion about my specific recommendations for your business.

Ultimately, Media Platform Mastery is about thinking and doing.

By the end of the program, you will have the understanding and direction you need to take your media platform to a new level of effectiveness and production in your business.
